  1、 Analysis of accident causes

  1. High temperature causes aging of components and damage to the electric actuator of the induced draft fan. When exposed to indoor radiation temperature and ambient temperature, it can sometimes reach over 35 degrees Celsius. Such high temperatures are often deadly for electronic components, and sustained high temperatures are enough to cause component aging and damage to the electric actuator.

  2. Dust causes short circuits between components and damages the circuit board. When used for a long time, the seal of the electric actuator is damaged, and dust takes the opportunity to enter. In addition, the condensation formed by temperature difference changes directly adheres to the circuit board, causing short circuits and damage to the components and integrated blocks.

  3. Lightning and poor grounding causing damage to the circuit board. Lightning counterattack refers to the phenomenon of electrical shock caused by the high voltage or potential difference generated on the conductor during the release process of lightning current after lightning connection. We know that lightning acts on equipment in microseconds, but the high potential of this microsecond can generate a strong instantaneous current at a certain resistance, which is enough to damage electrical equipment. Lightning strikes, your computer network card may be burned out, the frequency converter port may be burned out, and the input and output boards of electric actuators may be burned out, which are very common. This summer, the electric valve at the outlet of the induced draft fan in our factory's boiler room was struck by lightning, causing severe damage to the equipment (modules, electric valve circuit boards). The instantaneous inability to remotely control increased the danger and workload.

  2、 Solution and handling method

  As we all know, the dust (coal powder dust and furnace ash powder) and high temperature (the boiler itself is a high-temperature equipment) in the boiler room are inevitable. In order to ensure the long-term reliable operation of the equipment, certain measures must be taken according to the current situation of the equipment environment to solve and ensure the good operation of the production equipment. For the environment of the boiler room, it is required to clean the electric actuator once a week and install an axial flow fan next to the actuator in a room with high temperature; Regularly open actuators with damaged seals, and clean the motherboard and feedback circuit board with dust; The problem of lightning, in addition to checking and installing lightning protection devices, is important to ensure proper grounding of equipment.

  For example, the boiler induced draft fan in our factory has a soft connection installed on the outlet valve due to poor communication between them. During lightning strikes, the input and output ports of the actuator were damaged by lightning flashover voltage. After research, it was found that the soft connection electrical circuit between the pipeline expansion joints was not connected! I have re grounded the electric actuator and connected it to the building ground (with a resistance of less than 4 ohms). Until now, there has been no further occurrence of lightning strikes.
